When 8th graders from Seward Middle School were invited to the AVTEC Alaska Maritime Training Center, they learned that being in the Maritime Industry is a little less scary and a lot more fun than they imagined. This safety training program is just one of the many programs at the Alaska Maritime Training Center preparing youth for a career in the Maritime Industry.
The goal of the Alaska Maritime Training Center is to promote safe marine operations by effectively preparing captains and crew members for employment in the Alaskan maritime industry.
